Everyday, my students have the option of a free breakfast that is served in the classroom.
While I am thankful that each student is given the oppportunity to eat in the morning (having something in their body helps them focus SO MUCH more), sometimes I wonder about the choices that are given. This morning’s breakfast (pictured) is actually one of the better ones - namely because it has an actual piece of fruit instead of juice from concentrate.
It’s things like this that make me want to go get involved with nutrition programs, especially those involving children.

It is INSANE the food we feed children through school programs! Go for it!

School lunches are sad. I hope my kids let me pack their lunches every day.
