This past week has been great for me. When I know that I will face the scale in the morning, I have a greater sense of how hungry I am. I don’t just throw caution to the wind, I have greater willpower against cravings and comfort food.
I was a little sad when I saw 136 this morning because the past couple of days have been 135.X days. But thank you blog for keeping track of my measurements for me and saving me from sadness.
Also note - I’ve lost some inches too. I’ll save you and won’t post those numbers. I can save that obsessiveness for my private time.
Have I rambled enough, yet? Methinks so.

I don’t say “y’all”, so I don’t know why I just did.
Starting over, starting fresh. Rude awakening this morning. And by rude, I mean I’m floating a little above where I want to be. I’ve got to nip in the bud.

Goal weight is between 130 and 132. Butttt….. I’d like to build some muscle in my nether regions. I also learned that my body type is Spoon. WTH? Spoon? I’ve been storing weight in my lower stomach as well. Not a lot, but enough that I could see myself just letting it go. And we all know what happens when you start to let some things go. After having said all of this - my goal is a little fuzzy. But whatever.

6/6/12 -130.6 (SOS Day 7)
Going in the right direction! Definitely have some DOMS today after the 11 miles I ran yesterday (and 5 of those being on the trails.) Also ate a LOAD of chocolate yesterday. Should have seen this coming when I brought home all of the baking supplies from my parents’ house. It’s all good until the bag is opened.
Up a little from yesterday, but that is a-okay. It’s all about the long term. =)

Despite this being awesome and totally goal reaching, my body doesn’t feel right.
Maybe the gluten and the beer is catching up to me? Did I tell you about my weekend drinking? I don’t think I did. I had 3 drinks on Friday and Saturday when my usual average is 0. Needless to say, I’ve been feeling a bit bloated and have been retaining water.
Getting back on track.
I think this is the first time a fantastic number on the scale hasn’t made me feel stellar.

I knew I was gearing up for a loss after a great weekend. But I’m also torn because part of me suspects that the beets may have made me lose more weight than I was supposed to. Need to rehydrate!!!
I felt great this morning, so I slipped on my suit and took some pictures! They’re after the break.

Well, that was to be expected. You can’t live in paradise, eat whatever you want, and stop working out and expect to lose or maintain weight, right?
I’m okay with this though. It gives me something to work for. Rememeber when my goal weight was 135?

As many of you know, I haven’t been eating gluten since Sunday. Here’s my WIW info:
6/8/11 - 140.0 6/15/11 - 137.6 Loss: 2.4 lbs Total Loss: 12.4 lbs I don’t know what to make of this! I want to credit no gluten, but I kind of want to credit just saying “No.” to cookies and cakes and sweets and treats. I guess I’ll find out as I continue my gluten-free experiment.
